The Island (farm) is a monthly (30 - 34 days) Event that occurs every other month and is available to players level 30 and above. It will occur as "A Good Will" side task (donate 25 Certificates) to start the event.
The following general information the aid you in deciding if you wish to participate in this Event/task.
All buildings will be converted into seashells when Event/task is over. (I tried to store decorations in hopes that they would still be available the next time and they were not). This also includes any houses or decos purchased with gold. DO NOT WASTE GOLD on Island.
You will earn seashells, so that you can buy seeds (from seashell trader) to grow in your greenhouse for special fruit for the Ship.
PLEASE NOTE: If you do not ever start Island, the ship will not request the special fruit (from greenhouse) and you will have a better chance of filling the Ship requirements. Once started, the ship will always request special fruit regardless of availabilty.
The purpose: You earn Horseshoes when supplying special fruit to Ship.
Horseshoes are used to train your horse and upgrade buildings in the Stable section.
When training, you can chose the amount of horseshoes used from the minimum of 20 to a maximum of 4,000. The more horseshoes used the more "intense the training" will be. Be sure to keep the amount in the green and not orange! You will receive a better yield per horseshoe while it is in the green. There are 3 areas of training your horse will need. Strength, endurance, and agility. Make sure you are balanced and well trained in all areas. You will be able to race familiar Big Farm neighbors.
Please note: that at some point, you will continuously lose races.
Also, there are plans to have players race each other (like missions???), but not yet.
This is very monotonous. And many players are simply bored with the whole horse section.
Personally, if you have not opened (started) the Island - "A Good Will" side task, I would highly recommend to not bother with it. While it is open to level 30 players, it is best to be level 90 or so before trying.
Once you have participated in this Event/task, it is your choice if you wish to do it again. If the idea of possibly challenging other players to races interests you, then I recommend saving lots of farm dollars before attempting this Event/task.
The following general information the aid you in deciding if you wish to participate in this Event/task.
- Each time this event/task occurs, you will start from scratch (brand new) regardless if you have participated in this Event/task.
- The costs are high! You will need to transfer large amounts of farm dollars to the Island to build, grow, and process and everything is expensive!
- Happiness is hard to maintain.
